History

DB Lab A/S was founded in 1985 under the name Dansk Bioprotein A/S. During the first couple of years, research and development in fermentation and downstream processes was the main focus.

Since 1993, DB Lab has performed analyses as a GMP contract laboratory mainly for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2006, we decided to close down the R&D department in order to focus on GMP analyses. Our organic expansion required more space, and in 2009 we moved to our present facilities on Lille Tornbjerg Vej 24 in Odense, about 1½ hour from Copenhagen.

In May 2022, DB Lab was acquired by ALS (Australian Laboratory Services).

Today, DB Lab has approx. 35 employees.
